Virginia’s Unpopular Post of Unpopular Opinions.

Come at me.

— I don’t think J.K. Rowling is that good of a writer as everyone says. I think she gave her audience an amazing world with awesome characters and an expansive plot, but her writing is nothing special to me.

— I don’t like Genevieve Cortese. I don’t feel like I should be inclined to like her just because she married Jared. I have never found her particularly attractive, not to mention that her acting ability is sort of atrocious. I always thought Katie Cassidy was the vastly more talented Ruby.

— I don’t think there’s anything worse than Internet hate, which from the amount of hate I see out there, is not a popular opinion. I think everyone should respect each other’s opinions if they’re not unreasonably hateful or aggressive, let them speak, and not attack in response. If someone disagrees with you, don’t start a war. Saying someone doesn’t like so-and-so or doesn’t think this-and-that is a tasty snack or that who-and-what isn’t handsome or talented doesn’t quality as wank. It’s an opinion.

— I like Chad Michael Murray (and his douchebag tendencies).

— Don’t get your panties in a twist because someone likes Sam better than Dean or Wincest better than Destiel and go on a rant about how everything and everyone is equal. People have their own minds and with it, their own preferences.

— I think it’s a tad odd how when we here on the Internet are fond of someone, we are completely incapable of admitting that said someone has flaws. No one’s perfect. For example, I don’t think Jared Padalecki’s acting abilities are stellar, nor is his hair currently anything short of a caveman’s. I still love him dearly, and this does not make me worthy of a Interwebs stoning.

— I have no obligation to like Jensen or Jared’s wives unless I feel that their personality merits a fondness from me. Liking Jensen or Jared does not mean I must have equal love for their spouses. They are not a unit. If I don’t like one of them and am not overly hateful to the point of immaturiy, I have the right to.

— For the most part, I love Tumblr and the people on it. But if there’s anything I hate more than bad grammar, it’s people trying desperately hard to get attention. Whether it’s pointless text posts stating obvious things merely attempting to get reblogs, trying to evoke sympathy by mentioning a bad day and then refusing to discuss it with others, sending yourself anonymous compliments and love, or reblogging your own posts to get more notes. It’s annoying.
